Up Tempo Dance Company to perform at the

2010 FED EX Orange Bowl Half Time Show!

            Pound Ridge NY, August 20th, 2009 – Bowl Games of America Performances are pleased to announce the selection of Torrie Marie’s School of Dance as featured performers in the 76th annual FedEx Orange Bowl halftime show in Miami Florida this upcoming January. This football extravaganza, played on January 5th, pits two of the top BCS teams against each other in the newly re-named Land Shark Stadium.  

  

     Torrie Marie’s School of Dance, under the direction of Torrie M. Hartman, will perform with other dancers from across the country, along with a live guest star in this nationally televised halftime show. In addition to this spectacular halftime show performance, dancers will take part in one of the largest dance conventions in the country.  For 2 days students will be taking classes in a variety of disciplines taught by some of the best and most sought-after choreographers in the industry. 

      

         Torrie Hartman is the founder and director of Torrie Marie’s School of Dance.  She has been studying and performing a wide variety of dance for over 20 years. She was the Assistant to the Choreographer for the Dean College Modern Dance Company in 2005, and has been a featured choreographer and Master Instructor at numerous dance conventions and seminars.  Torrie is also the co-founder of HartFall Productions,

a company working with music artists and talent alike, focusing on music video

 

      Torrie Marie’s School of Dance was recently noted as the fastest growing dance studio in a suburb of New York by Entrepreneur Magazine.  Their Up Tempo Dance Company was featured performers at the Stamford Town Center Holiday Extravaganza 2008, in Stamford, CT.  This will be their first year performing at the FedEx Orange Bowl.
